W-2 forms
NO MORE BUYING FORMS FOR W-2s...
The W-2 form has changed slightly. Rather than re-program the W-2 portion of the current MARGE program (when the 2012 version of the program is already working for this feature), we are offering the following solution for your employees and W-2 forms:
1. Finish all payrolls for 2011.
2. Print the W-2 report on blank paper to verify the entries.
3. Email us your TCOPY by doing the following:-Put the name of the municipality in the subject line, followed by W-2s:
Subject: BADGER: W-2s
-Within the body of the message indicate:
My Totals have been verified.
-Clerk NameIn turn, within 24-48 hours, we will send you an email with a copy of your W-2s attached as a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) file for you to print on regular paper and distribute to your employees.
We are excited to bring you this service this year and in future years!Act 10 & 13:
Employee ContributionsAgain there are changes to our payroll because of recent government acts. Below is a guide to accommodate the new acts which affect employee contributions for retirement and health insurance. You will only need this if your municipality participates in these programs.
2011 Wisconsin Act 10 and 2011 Wisconsin Act 32 contain a number of provisions that affect the retirement and health insurance programs administered by the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). Below is a guide on how to set deductions for which the employee contributes.
(For more details on these changes, see http://etf.wi.gov/news/Changes_to_your_WRS_Benefits.pdf)
The guide below will outline how to incorporate these changes if your municipality participates in these programs. Please make a backup prior to your payroll and send it to us at support@townhallinc.com. Thanks!
